Justin Martyr letter to Roman Emperor

It is to my understanding in the letter to the Roman Emperor, that the purpose was to clarify the practices and teachings of Christianity and how we go about practicing. In a sense, he educated him on Christianity without disrespecting the Romans. He clearly explained the process in which God permits us to "eat of His flesh and blood" along with the ones who are worthy to take part in this feast. Because of the term eating of flesh and drinking of blood, the Romans mistook the information as cannibalism, therefore persecuting and insulting them. Despite Justin's efforts in convincing the emperor to do otherwise, he continued to persecute Christians.
